Every woman should be safe at home. But we know cases of domestic abuse against women and children are rising during this pandemic. Because of this, we are joining with our friends SSI on their beautiful soundstage, for a live fundraiser, directing proceeds to South Eastern New Brunswick's Crossroads for Women / Carrefour pour femmes. These are troubling times for so many reasons, but on June 28th, please help us shine the stage lights on a very important cause.
HOW TO WATCH: The show will be filmed live, on a three camera shoot with a full sound stage, tech and lighting and broadcast live on Facebook from SSI's site which you can reach here SSI . The show will be 90 minutes and free to all. This will be our reunion, having been self isolating and not seeing band members since February, so get ready for some fiddle and piano joy. It's been too long. So 6PM in Atlantic Canada, 2PM in Vancouver, 10 PM Scotland and 7:00 AM the next day in Melbourne! We'd love to see friends from everywhere.
HOW TO DONATE: During the live show please firstname.lastname@example.org as an email transfer with the subject #CROSSROADS or message this page to arrange an international donation or other method if you can not transfer. Please go to our website www.lumberjillsfiddle.com and email any of our contacts if you are having trouble. We will all be manning the emails, phones and socials that night to help with donations. If you are unable to donate that is fine. Help in the ways that you can and that is more than enough, we know it's tough right now.
SAFETY: The crew at SSI has created a very healthy safe space and everyone will be wearing masks and almost 20 feet distanced from the stage. They have a tonne of Lysol wipes. We are all practicing social distancing as per The Government of NB guidelines. We would also like to acknowledge this crew of male allies who have always created safe and respectful stages for women in music. We are very lucky to have such a company in New Brunswick and we can't wait to work with you on this cause. Thank you.
